Introducing the

Blossoming Series

a circle for teen girls

Join us for a heart-centered & empowering series that supports teens in understanding their anatomy and natural cycles, practicing meaningful self-care rituals, and building a deep connection to themselves and others.

FAQs

  • These circles are for teen girls (ages 12–17) who are curious about their bodies, interested in self-care, and eager to connect with themselves and others in a welcoming, supportive space.

  • Not at all. This space is open to all girls, whether they’ve started their menstrual cycle or not. It’s a beautiful opportunity to learn and prepare for when that time comes.

  • Just yourself, a notebook, a mug for tea, a water bottle, and an open heart. If anything else is needed, we’ll let you know in advance.

  • No — this circle is rooted in holistic wellness, traditional healing practices, and a deep respect for the body and nature. It’s spiritual in nature, but not tied to any particular religion.

  • We'll be learning about our amazing bodies and how to take care of ourselves in gentle, loving ways. After each session, we’ll do something creative or move our bodies with soft, mindful practices. There’ll also be time to journal, share (only if you want to), and connect with others in a space that feels safe and supportive.

  • Parents are welcome to join if they feel it’s necessary, but in our experience, teens tend to feel more open and comfortable when parental adults are not present. This is meant to be a space just for them to explore, share, and connect freely. That said, we’re happy to answer any questions or offer a parent orientation beforehand for peace of mind.

Meet Your Guides

  • Hi, I’m k’mae, a birth and postpartum doula with a deep reverence for the female body. I’ve always been a teacher at heart, and I earned my BA in Education from San Diego State University. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with youth in many different spaces.

I’m especially passionate about sharing body wisdom with teen girls & helping them build a deeper relationship with their bodies, understand their cycles, and move through life with more self-respect, compassion, and confidence. I truly believe that the more we know ourselves, the more we can step into our power and remember how sacred we really are.

  • Hi, I’m Teresa — founder of Roots & Remedy, healer, doula, and mama to three amazing teens, including a daughter who inspires so much of what I do. Growing up, I didn’t know much about my body or how to care for it in a loving, empowered way. Now, after over 20 years in healing work, I’m passionate about helping young women feel at home in their bodies — to see them as sacred, powerful, and wise. This work is personal to me, and it’s rooted in community, ancestral healing, and the belief that everything we need is already within us.
